Happy Birthday Scotty!

This week is Scott's birthday, and as I am sitting here browsing the internet I came across a friends blog post about choosing moments that matter. It is a Mormon Message that you can see here

As I was thinking about the moments that matter most to me, all of them included my husband. I know that I brag about him all too often on this blog, but I am going to do it again!

There are so many things about Scott that I love. I love that he always gives me a kiss when I walk through the door. I love that he calls during the day just to say hi and check to see how my day is going. I love that when I am mad, he tries to make me laugh, I love that even though he knows he will dry one of my shirts on accident, he still does the laundry. I love that he likes to go to the grocery store with me. I love that he snuggles with me in the morning.

But more than anything, I love that he loves me and will love me no matter what happens. In the last 2 years that we have lived here in Provo we have been dealt our fair share of struggles, and however hard they have been or are, no matter what...I know that he is there for me, for us 110%. When I have my breakdown moments where I wonder why us, why cant something go our way...he always reminds me...at least one thing went your way...you got me!

I dont think I will ever be grateful enough for being able to be his wife! I truly feel like I am the luckiest girl on earth. So here's to you Scott and your birthday! I am so glad that 25 years ago (almost :) ) you came to earth! I love you to the moon and back and then some! Happy Birthday!

Grandpa's Funeral

So as I mentioned in my last post, my Grandpa Bob passed away on May 29, 2011. This was my last living grandparent so it was a sad sweet moment knowing that he was no longer bound by his old elderly body.

They funeral was very nice and had a very sweet spirit about it. The service itself was all abou Grandpas hard work ethic and his love for his family. It was very nice to see the Lovells and Childs that we have not see for many years.

Because Grandpa Bob was served in the military he had a traditional military burial. It was again a very sweet moment.

I am so grateful for loving grandparents, all of them! I am so grateful for all the lessons that Grandpa Bob taught me. One, that mr. goodbars are not found by tickling my side and two, I do not like the taste of beer! I am grateful for all that he did for our family and for raising a great woman that turned out to be the greatest mother ever! We will miss you grandpa!

Memorial Day Weekend

I know this is a little late, but we had a great memorial day weekend down in good ol' St. George. It was so fun just hanging out with my parents! We drove down Friday night and then bright and early Saturday we took dad's new toy out for some fun!

Thats right...my parents have a wave runner! It was awesome! I wish I would have brought my camera to get some good pictures, but I am sure there will be plenty of time in the near future! But there were many a good stories that came out of them! Apparently I lean to the left when I drive and my mom leans to the right...so we were good together but Scott was a little annoyed when I was driving with him! :) Also flags dont float...or at least the one that my parents have! Scott had to do some awesome swan dives to save it, but all in all it was a lot of fun!

Sunday was very relaxing, we just went to church... Side note...I love my parents ward, they are so welcoming all the time. very grateful for that! We got to play lots and lots of games, some select people got mad :) and all in all was a good time!

Monday was a little bittersweet. We got a call late sunday night that Grandpa, my mom's dad, had past away. So we helped planned some of the funeral...or should I say watch my parents help plan the funeral. But we still found time to go to 25 Main for breakfast and had some delicious omelets and play a little pickle ball. Here are some photos of the guys, cause lets be honest my mom and I kinda lost interest and we are not too good with our eye hand coordination!

It was a fabulous weekend spent with family! Cant wait to go again :)
