Anniversary Trip

So our anniversary was super fun! We went to Brian Regan up in Salt Lake at Abravinal Hall. We drove up to Salt Lake and checked into our hotel which was AMAZING! Scott got us a killer good deal at the Grand America Hotel.

This is one of the best gifts that Scott got me, an Edible Arrangements. Here is a little photo of our delicious feast!!!

The chocolate peanut butter bananas were absolutly TO DIE FOR!!! I couldnt help but eat and eat and eat some more. Seriously any special occasion that you may have coming up! You have got to try it!

We also went to the Red Iguana in downtown Salt Lake for dinner. It was good Mexican food, but the tables were seriously like right next to each other. I felt like I was eating with the people next to me. And the salsa was really SPICY!

We then went and saw Brian Regan, and all I have to say is that he is hilarious! I think that I laughed the whole time! It was great!

After we went back to the hotel and slept in the next morning and went to one of our favorite Bagel shop for breakfast, Rich's Bagels.

We drove back home to Provo, packed our bags, and drove down to St George to see my family! I will talk about that in my next blog post...

  96. We love to play games. We regularly have game night with our friends!
  97. We never make our bed.
  98. Not only do we celebrate out wedding anniversary, but we also celebrate the day we started dating. My choice, not his.
  99. The Old Spaghetti Factory is “our” restaurant. It was our first date after he got home, and where we went every time we went up to Salt Lake when we were first dating.
  100. Most of all, I love Scott and Scott loves me. Always have Always will.
I know this is kinda long, but hopefully fun for some people to read, and eventually fun for our posterity! But in all seriousness, I am so happy to be married to my best friend and to be "stuck" with him forever. I couldn't ask for a better man, husband, and friend! Scott, I love you forever for always no matter what!!! Loves

What to do...

So does anyone else find yourself going through the list of things that you need to do, and trying to figure out what to do? What do you have to do, what should you do, what shouldn't you do, what is it that you really want to do?

Well that was me today. As my work day was coming to an end, I thought to myself...okay I have 2 hours until Scott gets home from work, what to do? Here is the list that I made in my head

1. workout
2. clean the kitchen
3. pick up the house
4. Beautify myself for our night out
5. update the blog
6. take a nap

Now if you notice the top ones are things that I really should do, and have to do eventually.

Working out...I have been trying really hard recently to go to the gym. I can totally feel the difference since I have started, and I had kinda been a slacker this week and really needed to go!

Cleaning the kitchen... About three nights ago we had chef salads and as I was cutting the tomatoes I sliced my finger, nothing bad, but I have had to wear a band aid on my pointer finger. Thus I didn't want to get it wet, thus I hadn't done the dishes since. I know I should not be admitting this to the world, but lets face it...I am not perfect and you all have been know to do it as well! Right???

Picking up the house...I really hope that others have the same problem where you pick up the house and then about 4 hours later it is messy again! It drives me bonkers!!! So of course I needed to pick up!

Beautify Myself for our night out...Date Night is something that is really fun for me. I feel all loved when I get to go out, so naturally I want to look my best.

Update the blog...I am such a slacker when it comes to our blog. My excuse is that I don't have any kids to blog about, but then I see others that don't have any kids either and they are still blogging! They just don't have very many pictures up...so that excuse is really not an kind of an excuse!

Take a nap...Who in the world doesn't love to sleep, especially on a Friday afternoon after a long work week!

So what did I do???

I cleaned my kitchen, picked up, took a 30 minute nap, and am now updating the blog while listening to my new purchase on iTunes...GLEE!!!

Really when it came down to what I needed to do...I knew the second I walked into my house...it stunk...yes, the dishes were trying to tell me...DO ME!!! I STINK!!!

Then I was on a cleaning kick so why not pick up right? Well after I had picked up the front room I sat down, and accidentally top a short nap...oops!

So hopefully next week I will be able to get to the gym more, and that my dishes will be done every night, and my house will stay picked up...although now that I am thinking of all that is going on next week, see previous post, well have to see about that!

Scott is going to be home soon, so I better at least put on some makeup for our night out!!!

How can one person be so lucky!

Hello all! I know I know I am so bad with this whole blogging thing, but I dont have a whole lot to say, and most of what I do have to say is just me complaining, or just too much information that I maybe shouldn't share with the whole world But for what it is worth, here is a little update on Scott and myself.

So January was kind of a dud for us. We did get some good news though about Scotts work. We decided that working full time and going to school full time was not the best idea we ever had, but at the time, that is what we had to do. So when we got back from vacation to Phoenix, Scott put in his two weeks notice. To make a really long back and forth story short, Scott's district manager went out of her way to basically get Scott a job at the traditional branch here in Provo. The benefit of this is that he will be able to cut his hours back significantly. So he got the job, and his hours went from 38 hours a week to about 20-25 hours a week. It is also nice because he wont have to work til 7 every night, and he doesnt have to work on Saturdays anymore!

As long as I am talking about Scott and his work, I also have some other good news! Scott was an ANNUAL STAR OF EXCELLENCE!!! I know that most of you have no idea what that is, so I will explain. Scott was in the top 5% of all the US Bank Bankers nationwide for 2009!!! I know I know, my husband is amazing! But because of his awesomness, USBank is taking him and myself on a trip to VEGAS! We are going March 16 through the 19th. Yes, we will have a couple of meetings we have to attend, but the majority of time will be for us to spend walking down the strip...I know, not the best thing...but it will be fun to spend the time together. They are FLYING us down, which Scott is SOOOOOO excited about!, and we are staying at the Four Seasons! It should be so much fun!!!

Other than that, the only other fun thing that is on our plate is our 2 year anniversary coming up on March 8th! We are going to Brian Regan in Salt Lake and staying the night at the Grand America Hotel! Just something fun to celebrate our anniversary! I will for sure post some pictures when that does happen.

Well, that is all from the pretty boring Butlers!

Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

So 2010 is officially here, and I am SUPER excited for it! 2009 was a big year for us Butlers! Scott got accepted to BYU, Scott graduated with his Associates. we moved to Provo, I started an awesome job!, Scott made it through his first semester at BYU, and lots of other small things! 2010 will not be as big as 2009, but I am hoping to make lots of changes for the better. Here is a small list of them...

1. Lose weight...I never knew how much weight one person could gain in 2 years of marriage! Both Scott and I am using this new year to make this change, Scott is only doing it because he is such a GREAT husband that is SUPER supportive, but it is chalenging to do, but I also know that it is totally worth it!

2. Go to the temple more regularly. The past couple of months have been crazy ones for us, and we have had a difficult time getting to the temple. But last night we went and I remember why I love it! I cant believe that it was only two years ago that I went through for the first time. That was one of the best decisions that I ever made!

3. Get to work on time... For those of you who know me, you know that I am not a morning person in the least bit! But I am truly honestly going to try and be there at 7:30 every morning. Not only will that be the best for work, but it will also be nice when I can get off at 3:30 and get some things done at home!

4. Start and Finish making my quilt. So for Christmas, my parents got me my very own sewing machine! Something that I always wanted and sewing is something that I always wanted to learn how to do! So I am chalenging myself to making a king size quilt...we will see how it goes!

5. Be better at housework, cooking healthy meals, and being a better wife. I know that there are many woman who want this, but I truly do! I want my husband to be able to brag about all of the things that his WONDERFUL wife does for him!

Those are the main things that I want to try and do this new year, and I hope to truly succeed all of them! I am so grateful for everything that I have to start out this new year. I am grateful for a wonderful HUSBAND! A great FAMILY, a wonderful JOB, a nice APARTMENT, awesome FRIENDS, and a great WARD! I truly feel so blessed!!!

Happy New Beginnings to you all!!!

My thoughts...

So, I am sure that many of you already have heard of this blog, nieniedialoges.blogspot.com, but I have been so amazed by it! NieNie was recently featured in an article in the Arizona Republic. As I was reading it I was so inspired! Also as I was reading it I had some thoughts on being a mother.

No I am not pregnant, and just to answer the question, it is not going to be for a while. I hope that this is not too much information, but it is just not the right time for Scott and I. Both of us want to be parents, but if I know one thing about my life. The Lord's timing and my wants are never in sync. But another thing that I know are the things that I wait for mean so much more to me when they actually come. For example, when I first meet Scott I wanted to marry him right then and there. But the Lord needed him to go out on a mission and teach the people of Brazil. I also needed to have my own spiritual growth and when Scott did get home, the love that we had was so much more intense and we were so much more ready to take the marriage step. When we were moving up here to Provo, I wanted, and tried very hard mind you, to get a job starting in February but it was not until May and a huge leap of faith on our part that the Lord blessed me with my AMAZING job.

I know that the same thing will apply with having children. I want to be a mother so bad, I want to have that responsibility, I want to fell that connection with my own son or daughter. Even though it is not the right time for us to have kids, I know that when the time does come that Scott and I get to be parents, it will mean that much more to us. It will truly be an amazing gift that we will cherish. I know all of you out there are saying that it is not the easiest thing being parents, but can anyone honestly tell me that they wouldn't trade having a child for anything!

I am so grateful though for everything that I have been blessed with. I am so grateful for an amazing husband, who loves me unconditionally and only wants what is best for me and is willing to sacrifice so that I am happy! I am grateful for all of my family. I am grateful for wonderful inlaws that are more like my own family than "inlaws". I am grateful for my job and for all of the blessings that I get from it. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the peace and comfort I get from that knowledge. But mostly I am grateful for a Heavenly father who loves me, and knows what is best for me and for a Savior that has felt what I have felt and is there for me no matter what.

I hope that this post wasn't too much rambling from me. I don't know how many people will read this, but I do know that I feel better saying it.

New Family Pictures

My whole family was here for Thanksgiving and we got new family pictures taken. I will post more once I have shared them with the rest of the family...but for right now one of my favorites is the new main picture for my blog! Also the photographer was awesome! Here is a link to her blog and there are more pictures of us on her blog. Check it out! And stay tune for more pictures!
