Our random night last night...

So this is so random and crazy that I have to blog about it. So last night Scott and I were sitting in our family room watching TV when all of the sudden we hear this crash that came from outside.

Now before I can finish the story, I have nightmares about being in a crash and it happening right outside my apartment! And when I heard the crash I was like there you have it! I knew eventually it was going to happen! Just glad that it wasnt me!

So we walk outside and Scott walks across the street and sees that there is a man on the street with a bunch of people all around him. There are two cars that are in the gas station parking lot across the street and a minivan that has pulled of the side of the road. We see that our neighbor is out so we go to him and ask what happened. He tells us that this saturn hit a kid on a motorcycle and then a Honda rearended the Saturn.

Okay now here is where the story gets weird. In talking to our neighbor a little bit more he tells us that the driver of the Saturn that hit the motorcycle just took off. He was talking to him and saying that he didnt see the motorcycle and the next thing he takes off, not in his car, but on foot into the residential neighborhood leaving his car behind!

So first of all, not a good idea. But it gets better! The Honda that hit the Saturn starts driving off!!! I was like...what kind of people are these people! There is a man in the street that could be dying and they take off because they dont want a ticket and their insurance to go up! Or they both have drugs and or alcohol and dont want to get busted!!!

I do have to commend the fire department and the paramedics because the did get to the scene in less than 2 minutes. I dont know what ever happened with it all, because it didnt make the news....but we saw the motorcyclist feet move so at least we know that he was not paralyzed...

How random was that?

p.s. I will soon post another blog with our weekend adventures to Timpanogos Cave!

Our Adventures

So over the past couple of weeks Scott and I have had some super fun things to do. Both of us had birthdays and we also got to spend quite a bit of time with Scott's family. So here are some random pictures of all of our outings...

Here is just a quick pic in the car on the way up to the big SLC!

Here is Scott, Ann & Brenon at our 4th of July celebration!

I had the wonderful opportunity to go see Brenon (Scott's brother) go through the Draper Temple as he is preparing to serve a mission to the San Diego Spanish speaking mission. Scott had to work, but it was an awesome experience! I love going to the temple...:)

These are the beautiful flowers that Scott had delivered to my work on my birthday! They were so pretty once they started to bloom, and they smelled wonderful...I have the best husband by the way... :)

Here is my birthday present!!!! We finally actually have bedding! I know for those of you who have been in my house, this does not look like anything else that I may have chosen, but I thought that I would be daring in the bedroom!!! It looks awesome against all of our white furniture and it is super cute as well!

Well that is about all the is going on with us. We are just waiting for Scott to start school and are starting to get super excited for the holidays to come around so that we can see all of our family again!

Blog to you soon!

Update on the Butlers

First of all it has been way too long since I last posted!!! There have been so many things happen, that fair warning this might be a really long post so please bear with me!

First of all, for those who don't know, I got a job! Not only did I get a job...I got a kick butt awesome job! I really cant even describe how blessed we were! The story is such an amazing one, that I am going to tell you all here on the blog...

So as many of you know... we moved up here to Provo without me having a job etc...we did move up with the hopes of a couple of jobs we were hoping to work out. We moved up on Saturday May 2 and by Tuesday both of the jobs that we were hoping to work fell through. I was starting to get really discouraged, so having no internet at my house Thursday I went to the Provo Library and had 90 minutes to apply for as many jobs as I could. When I was looking I found the posing for a job that I applied for a week before and the email came back with a bad email address. I was super excited that I found it again and applied to the right email address.

I also applied for about 20 other jobs, basically anything that I could find that I might be remotely qualified for, and just left the library hoping a praying for anything!!! Friday morning I woke up to a phone call from the owner of Rockwell Window Wells, which was the email that came back bad and I reapplied for. He asked if I could come to meet him in an hour. I of course said YES and hurry and got ready and went to the interview. Meanwhile I also had another interview up in Salt Lake later that day.

I went to the interview with a prayer in my heart that I will impress them and make them know how great I really can be! So I talked to Vaughn the owner and the interview went great! He showed me around the production floor and I meet some of the production guys and really liked them. I also then meet the plant manager and again it went really well. To make a long story short (I know, I know!) I told him that I had an appointment that I needed to get to, he then asked if it was a job interview and I said yes and he said that that was no good.

I left and about 30-45 minutes later Vaughn called me back and offered my the job! So here is the lowdown about the it is in PROVO! about 10 minutes from our apartment. I am doing exactly what I always wanted to do which is an Accountant/Office Manager. But I am also shipping manager, marketing, HR, anything office etc...and the best part is that I feel that I am getting paid what I am worth! I really can not believe this blessing!

So I was hired on a Friday and I started the following Monday. When talking to Vaughn a little bit more about the job, he said that he interviewed 10 people before me and just couldn't make a decision, but when he interviewed me, he just felt right about it. Again, I feel so incredibly blessed by this. I really do! Heavenly father really has directed us in what we are suppose to be doing!

So other than that...Scott and I have just been getting use to the PROVO area! If anyone knows anything really fun to do please let me know. But all I have to say is that we love our apartment we love living in Provo and we are really excited for Scott to start school...

Well this post is long enough...I will try an add some more pictures of some of our adventures here in the next couple of days.

Random Thoughts

Here are 10 random thoughts that are rustling around in my head...

1. Tomorrow is my last day at work...should I be happy or sad...What I am going to do if I cant find another job. This I think is the thing that I keep thinking of the most. I know that I am freaking out for no reason and that I need to accept the Lord's timing on everything, but with Scott starting school soon and not being able to work full time, how are things going to work out. I know they will, but in my little mind...it is a tough one to figure out!

2. I really want to find a daybed for our second bedroom. I am not even moved in and I am trying to buy new furniture! I really think that a daybed with a trundle would work the best for the size of the room. That way if just one person was coming to stay they can just sleep on the bed but if two people come then there will be the trundle that is tucked away...or we could just make all of our guests sleep on an air mattress... is that rude of us?

3. I really want to find more blogs of friends to read! I love seeing what everyone is up to and what is new in their life! I would really like to find people from high school. I really don't think that I took full advantage to some of the great friendships that I had in high school and now I wish that I would have!

4. I have the best husband ever. Sure there are things about him that may drive me a little nutto, but he really is the best match for me. He is so much more outgoing, adventurous, and smarter than me that I am always striving to be more like him. I know that this marriage was what the Lord had planned for me. And I couldn't be any more grateful for a wonderful husband.

5. I am really excited to move away from home. But am sad, scared, sad and did I say sad? I know that there comes a point in every persons life that they have to leave their parents side and take on the world by themselves, or if your lucky with your spouse. I have lived with my parents for almost 23 years with only 1 of those years not living in the same house as them! I am sad because my mom is my best friend! We can talk about anything and everything and she is my reasoning board. She tells me when I am being dumb, rude, or just plain stupid! But she is also there to tell me what she thinks is best for me. Even with all of that, I am excited to be just me and Scott. No relying on my friendship with my parents and not making other friends. We will be alone and it is going to force us to learn to rely on each other!

6. I really want to be a mother. I have noticed that in everything in my life, I usually end up waiting for what I want. I wanted to marry Scott after 3 months and it took 3 years and 3 months. I wanted to find a job in March...I am still looking for a job. I want to be a mother and it will still be years until we will be in the right position (for us and according to us) to have children. But the one thing that I have noticed, yes I have to wait...but it is in the waiting that I learn the best lessons, and grow the most!

7. I need to be more determined with going to the temple. I know that I don't go near as much as I should and I need to get better! I love the peace I feel when I am in the temple and the things that I learn there! I still can remember the fear that I had the day I went through, and then the joy that I felt when I was sitting in the celestrial room. Wow is all I have to say!

8. I am not hungry...that is something that has not happened in a long time! (I told you some of these were going to be random!)

9. I really want to have a romantic date with my husband that is filled with lots of holding hands, cuddling, and just feeling the love between us. We have both been so crazy busy recently that that is all I want. I just want to be able to relax and know that our love will conquer anything and everything that lies ahead of us!

10. I really appreciate all of the people in my life! I truly feel so loved! I know that I need to love myself, believe in myself, and trust myself as much as others do. I just don't know what is the best way to do all of that! I just keep working on it one day at a time!

Sorry for the randomness of this post, but I feel better getting it all off my mind!!!

HURRAY!!!

So good news from the Butlers! Scott got a job! He is transferring up to US Bank in Provo and will be starting on the 4th of May! I am so proud of him for being SO FREAKING AMAZING! I am still looking for a job but at least this will get me up there and hopefully meet some people that may know of a open position! But never the less, just as everyone has been telling me...it will all work out in the end!
CONGRATS SCOTT!!! I LOVE YOU TONZ!!!
