My thoughts...

So, I am sure that many of you already have heard of this blog, nieniedialoges.blogspot.com, but I have been so amazed by it! NieNie was recently featured in an article in the Arizona Republic. As I was reading it I was so inspired! Also as I was reading it I had some thoughts on being a mother.

No I am not pregnant, and just to answer the question, it is not going to be for a while. I hope that this is not too much information, but it is just not the right time for Scott and I. Both of us want to be parents, but if I know one thing about my life. The Lord's timing and my wants are never in sync. But another thing that I know are the things that I wait for mean so much more to me when they actually come. For example, when I first meet Scott I wanted to marry him right then and there. But the Lord needed him to go out on a mission and teach the people of Brazil. I also needed to have my own spiritual growth and when Scott did get home, the love that we had was so much more intense and we were so much more ready to take the marriage step. When we were moving up here to Provo, I wanted, and tried very hard mind you, to get a job starting in February but it was not until May and a huge leap of faith on our part that the Lord blessed me with my AMAZING job.

I know that the same thing will apply with having children. I want to be a mother so bad, I want to have that responsibility, I want to fell that connection with my own son or daughter. Even though it is not the right time for us to have kids, I know that when the time does come that Scott and I get to be parents, it will mean that much more to us. It will truly be an amazing gift that we will cherish. I know all of you out there are saying that it is not the easiest thing being parents, but can anyone honestly tell me that they wouldn't trade having a child for anything!

I am so grateful though for everything that I have been blessed with. I am so grateful for an amazing husband, who loves me unconditionally and only wants what is best for me and is willing to sacrifice so that I am happy! I am grateful for all of my family. I am grateful for wonderful inlaws that are more like my own family than "inlaws". I am grateful for my job and for all of the blessings that I get from it. I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the peace and comfort I get from that knowledge. But mostly I am grateful for a Heavenly father who loves me, and knows what is best for me and for a Savior that has felt what I have felt and is there for me no matter what.

I hope that this post wasn't too much rambling from me. I don't know how many people will read this, but I do know that I feel better saying it.

Bugged...and Thanksgiving!

So I have to say that I am so bugged right now...for the past week and a half I have had a horrible stomach ache off and on. It all started two weeks ago...I went to bed not feeling very well and then in the middle of the night I woke up and was super sick! I visited the bathroom...if you know what I mean...I was so lightheaded I had the chills and everything. I didnt go to work the following day and started to feel lots better. I thought that is was just a 24 hour thing. Scott then got it on Saturday and he was even sicker than I was. He stayed home one day from work and then felt alot better. Then the Wednesday before Thanksgiving I again went home from work early because I was so sick to my stomach. I thought that I was going to die! I finally started to feel better later that night, and I was at least able to eat some Thanksgiving dinner. The rest of the weekend, I felt pretty good, but then today...It hit me all over again! It honestly feels like my stomach is contrating back and forth...it is not like nausea, or anything but it is just pain! I wish I knew what was wrong and what I could do to fix it. So if anyone knows what might be causing it...or better yet, what I can do to fix it...let me know!

Other than that...this past weekend was super fun! Thursday was spent with the Butlers. Dinner was FABULOUS! And it was so fun to hang out with all of the sibs...Then on Friday all of my family were together for the first time for a year and a half! I got to meet my new nephew who is adorable! And just spend lots of time with them all! We finally got our family pictures taken and as soon as I get them back I will post some of them! We also were able to go out to dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory which is a classic for our family! We also justs spent a ton of time together!

It was a little crazy with 7 adults and a baby in our apartment! But we had a good time! Hope everyone else had a good time the past weekend and got to spend lots of time with their families and friends!

Three Little Tidbits

So not much is going on in our lives right now. Scott is super super busy with school and work and I am trying to stay busy with work and trying to keep the house clean, the dinner made and the dishes done. I am hoping that I am succeeding somewhat however if you were to walk into my house tonight you might smell the White Chicken Chili that I made for dinner, you will find the dishes in the dishwasher and the dishwasher running...but you will have to walk through the disaster that is my front room to see the clean kitchen! Oh well... at least I won two out of three tonight!

So I am sure you are wondering what little tidbits I will be saying here in my small little blog so here it goes...

1st tidbit...Red Lobster's Endless Shrimp!
This past weekend, Scott and I decided to splurge a little on our eating out budget and go to Red Lobster for their endless shrimp. Now for those of you who know me, know that I am not a seafood fan, but I am a huge fan of seeing the endless smiles of a happy husband! I honestly have never seen him so happy and giddy at not only the food, but also the service, which was absolutely outstanding! My chicken was more on the dry side, but the biscuits could not be beat! Definitely worth the 45 minute wait!!!

2nd little tidbit...I am going on VACA!!! to visit my sister in Phoenix!!!
Yeah that is right... the best part is the fact that I get to fly!!! However I always get so nervous to fly...you would think because of the fact that it is a huge 1 ton plane in the air right? No, it is the security check point! I hate the fact that a) I have to take off my shoes! That is just annoying right? b) The people look at me like I am a criminal...but they are just like me...they have no special training right? or do they??? and c) I can't take all of my hair products in my carry on! I know I know this is a little dramatic of me, but when it takes you 10 years to finally defeat your hair, products are like air and water!!! 100% needed in all situations! But oh well...I do get to go on an airplane, see my sister at the end for lots of shopping, pedicures, movies, and of course some good girl talk!!!

3rd little tidbit...I love being able to actually watch all of the TV series that are on right now.
This is the first time in who knows how long that I have actually paid attention to all of the new shows. I was always too busy with school and work and friends. Now that I don't have school, work is not that time consuming particularly at night, and I don't need to keep the same social status that I did before I got married...(just a way of life...no complaints here...) I have plenty of time for The Office, Modern Family, Psych, Monk, The Good Wife, Smallville, and of course my favorite...The Next Iron Chef!
I am sure that it also helps that I now that TiVo...the greatest thing ever known to man!!! So that I can watch them whenever I want...although I usually watch them as they are recording...and hate when I get to the Live TV icon!

So that is the life of us here in Provo. Hope that all those that might be reading this enjoy it. I know that I am little, okay a lot random, but hey when this is your social scenario...it is okay to be a little random!

I am so in LOVE with my HUSBAND!!!

So I have to say that I have the best husband ever! This week has been a really interesting week and one that has been really good for us. To make a long story short, someone I am fairly close to told me that he and his wife were having marital problems. It was a painful thing for him to tell me and it was the biggest blessing for me to hear. It amazes me what you take for granted until you see someone lose that one thing.
I honestly could not be any happier with my husband. He is such an amazing caring and loving husband. And I wanted to make sure that he knew that so that is what I did. I told him how much I loved him that I knew I was far from perfect but I was going to try my hardest to make him as happy and he makes me.

Then out of the blue later that day Scott didnt have to work and when I got home, he said to me get ready to go out. I asked where we were going and he said it was a surprise. He punched an address into our GPS and off we went to a destination that I didnt know...
I realize as we got closer that there was a movie theater and I realized that Scott was taking me to see a movie...when I asked him what movie...he wouldn't tell me but then I realized that he was taking me to see The Time Traveler's Wife. It was such a good movie. I did cry alot, but it was really good. It even almost got Scott to cry.

Then we went out to dinner at Macronni Grill and had a really good time. It was an awesome night. One that hasnt happened like that for a while. And it was all a surprise from Scott!!!

I just want everyone to know (well just those that read my blog!) to know that I love Scott more than anything in the world and I am so happy that I get to spend the rest of eternity with him by my side...love you babe!!!

Our random night last night...

So this is so random and crazy that I have to blog about it. So last night Scott and I were sitting in our family room watching TV when all of the sudden we hear this crash that came from outside.

Now before I can finish the story, I have nightmares about being in a crash and it happening right outside my apartment! And when I heard the crash I was like there you have it! I knew eventually it was going to happen! Just glad that it wasnt me!

So we walk outside and Scott walks across the street and sees that there is a man on the street with a bunch of people all around him. There are two cars that are in the gas station parking lot across the street and a minivan that has pulled of the side of the road. We see that our neighbor is out so we go to him and ask what happened. He tells us that this saturn hit a kid on a motorcycle and then a Honda rearended the Saturn.

Okay now here is where the story gets weird. In talking to our neighbor a little bit more he tells us that the driver of the Saturn that hit the motorcycle just took off. He was talking to him and saying that he didnt see the motorcycle and the next thing he takes off, not in his car, but on foot into the residential neighborhood leaving his car behind!

So first of all, not a good idea. But it gets better! The Honda that hit the Saturn starts driving off!!! I was like...what kind of people are these people! There is a man in the street that could be dying and they take off because they dont want a ticket and their insurance to go up! Or they both have drugs and or alcohol and dont want to get busted!!!

I do have to commend the fire department and the paramedics because the did get to the scene in less than 2 minutes. I dont know what ever happened with it all, because it didnt make the news....but we saw the motorcyclist feet move so at least we know that he was not paralyzed...

How random was that?

p.s. I will soon post another blog with our weekend adventures to Timpanogos Cave!
